If You Want To Be Rich And Happy, Don't Go To School
When money gets tight the majority of people either cut down on spending or rebel by spending money they don't really have. Well if you are serious about becoming rich then it is time that you sat down and figured out what being rich actually means to you. This is how today's old money families got their wealth. Positive cashflow real estate is an example of an asset, stock that pay you dividends are assets, and businesses you don't have to work for but that generate you income are also assets.
Or maybe, in reality, the average amateur poker player has a snowball's chance in hell of getting rich that way. At the time I started this technique I was making $0 with this business and thinking about scrapping it. That's when I came across this method. The second group is the few super rich persons who through constant education and practice learn to control risk and play it big.
Money has a host of myths associated with it: you have to work hard to make money; money only comes through work; there is not enough for everyone else; if you have more than your share then someone will do without; you can't make money being honest; artists, or certain professions have to struggle; it's different for some people; money changes people; rich people are snobs; or, you only get one chance.
If you looked at an annual financial statement you would see that we sold $ 1 million dollars of Widget A and made a 10% profit of $100,000. In my opinion, there are two categories of people that would find wealth creation and making money a difficult process.
Let me emphasize though that a willing mind to improve oneself, to elevate oneself from being poor to being wealthy, is not enough and will not materialize if it is not coupled with action, the final and most important determinant to turn a poor person into a rich one.
A mistake that some of my friends and I made when we first started practising positive thinking was to believe that if we spent and thought positively, the money would come. Wealthy means that you don't have to spend every moment be millionaire worry about how you are going to have money to grow old with.
